Post-workout, we treated ourselves to high tea at the Shangri-La, served amidst the festive elegance of their Rose Garden. The holiday decorations and music added a special touch to the already terrific atmosphere, complementing the array of fine teas and snacks. We left our table full (too full) and ready to make our way to the Botanical Gardens.

The Singapore Botanical Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was our next stop, a 20 minute stroll from the our hotel, offering much needed additional exercise. We meandered through the National Orchid Garden within its grounds, admiring the world’s largest orchid display. Jen is an orchid lover and despite the downpours enjoyed the stunning displays.

Our day concluded with culinary finesse at Buko Nero, a fusion restaurant that’s a culinary canvas of Italian and Asian flavors. Nestled in the heart of Tanjong Pagar, the 20 table restaurant delivered fabulous food with personal service.
