Occasionally we appreciate a nice bottle of wine. On those rare occasions, we love wines from the Rhône Valley. If we dig a little deeper into our wallet, we specifically adore those from Chateaupneuf Du Pape. In fact, a visit to the region was a large reason we chose this itinerary.

 

  So there you have it, today we were off to sip some Grenache laden wines! We have read about the area and the vines growing conditions, specifically the soil not being much more than ancient sea pebbles/rocks, but until you see it it really is hard to comprehend. The scenery alone of the region is stunning and of course the wine was spectacular!
