Lisbon in our rear view we boarded our plane for the City of Bordeaux. Over the next week we would be exploring the Aquitaine region and its many culinary delights and perhaps partake in the viniculture. Spoiler alert- DHL will be very familiar with our address over the coming weeks. After a short and pleasant flight aboard TAP Portugal we touched down in Bordeaux and were promptly met by the wonderful people with Viking River Cruises and whisked away to the Forseti.

Out first afternoon was spent wandering the streets of Bordeaux and getting settled into our cabin.

The itinerary calls for a trip to the Sauternes appellation, our first of many trips deep into the Bordeaux wine region.
