Two days at sea out of Yokohama, watching the stabilizers earn their keep in choppy water and settling into Luminae before we reached Kagoshima.

Days 1 & 2 – At Sea from Yokohama

🌊 Day 1 & 2 at Sea

Underway at last, after a start to this trip we would rather not relive. We left Yokohama on the Millennium and the first night out reminded us that the Pacific in November is not the Caribbean. The stabilizers earned their keep.

Stabilizers Good

Two days of sun and cloud since, a brisk wind on the open decks and mild enough to sit out in. The window in the cabin has had the horizon in it the whole way, which is most of the point of a sea day.

First Morning at Sea (33.7330100, 136.6506891)

We are in the Retreat this time, which means Luminae for dinner and a great deal of sitting still. Kagoshima in the morning, and the first of Japan.
