Our third day in Singapore was dedicated to recovery and exploration. We began our morning with a couples massage at the Shangri-La, allowing us to unwind and rejuvenate. Chris opted for a deep tissue massage to alleviate travel-induced back tension, while Jen chose a medium pressure massage for relaxation.

Following our refreshing start, we ventured to the nearby MRT station. Singapore’s subway system impressed us with its cleanliness and clear signage, showcasing the city’s efficient infrastructure. The experience was noticeably different from our local DC Metro, highlighting Singapore’s commitment to public transportation.

Our next stop was the iconic Raffles Hotel, where we sampled the famous Singapore Sling at its birthplace. The recently renovated hotel looked impressive, maintaining its historic charm while offering modern amenities. We enjoyed our cocktails along with complimentary peanuts, savoring the atmosphere of this renowned establishment.

For transportation back to our hotel, we utilized Grab, Singapore’s ride-hailing service, which provided a convenient and efficient journey. We concluded our day with dinner at Origin, where we enjoyed a selection of wines and cocktails alongside our meal.

As we prepare for our departure tomorrow, we reflect on our time in this vibrant city. We look forward to reuniting with our pets, returning to our regular routines, and embracing the upcoming holiday season.
